Season For God

Blessed are you, 
patient, unwavering God, 
faithful Creator of life 
and beauty, 
who brings forth all 
peace and restoration. 

Thank You for bringing us 
back into Your arms, 
over and over, 
when we stumble so easily 
and can’t seem to keep 
ourselves from falling. 

Sometimes, 
You lift us up to carry us, 
or to put us back on our feet. 
Sometimes, 
You let us  struggle 
to strengthen us, 
or to let us find our knees. 

And sometimes 
You let us lay inert, 
that we might find rest. 

Even when we forget, 
You are always there, 
waiting for us to rest 
in You.
